SERVICES
Service I offer
The Artist’s Stop offers personalized, real-world guidance for artists — no matter where you are in your journey.
Whether you’re exploring a career in the arts, returning after time away, or currently working and looking for insight, I offer one-on-one sessions to help you gather the information and encouragement you need to move forward.
Think of it as a checkpoint — not the destination.
I don’t offer formal training in acting, singing, or dancing. Instead, I share my lived experience, plus the stories and strategies of trusted working professionals in my network.
1. Specialized Guidance
(One-on-One Sessions)
Whether you're navigating a career change, planning a one-woman show, or seeking clarity on the artist visa process — each session is tailored to your unique goals and questions.
These sessions aren’t about giving you a checklist.
They’re about having real conversations — tailored to your questions, your background, and your goals. You set the agenda.
Some common topics include:
✨ Creating a One-Woman Show (or Cabaret)
I’ve produced a 6-part cabaret series at respected NYC venues. I can walk you through the creative and logistical side — from building your concept to choosing a venue, finding a music director, getting sponsorships, setting up a website, and more.
🎭 Industry Insights
General info about the performance industry — especially for those newly navigating it, or transitioning careers.
🔄 Career Transitions
Whether you're moving into the arts or out of them, I can help you navigate the shift.
↳ From Other Fields to Performing Arts – How to make the leap, no matter your age or background.
↳ From Arts to Corporate – Curious about the corporate world? I was in it until age 37 — let’s talk about how to position your creative experience for a new path.
🖥️ Artist Website Guidance
With over 10 years of experience as a front-end developer and UI specialist, I can offer guidance on what to consider when building your site — from structure and content to clarity, usability, and brand identity. If you need a complete site build or full redesign, feel free to contact me — as that would be a separate, full-scale project, but I’m happy to help you get started with thoughtful advice.
🇬🇧🇺🇸 UK vs US: Training & Career Paths
I’ve studied in both countries, and can share what sets each apart — from schooling styles to industry expectations and visa hurdles. Perfect for those trying to decide where to study or launch their career. (I also offer referrals to working professionals — including artists who’ve performed on both the West End and Broadway, if you’d like to explore this further.)
🌍 Artist Visa (O-1B) in the USA
I successfully obtained an O-1B visa as a foreign national. While I don’t offer legal advice, I can walk you through my personal process — from choosing a lawyer to preparing your materials — and connect you with others who’ve done the same.
🎓 Insight for Tutors
Since early childhood, I’ve studied with a wide range of private and group tutors — from piano and painting to ballet, math, and more. I’m not a teaching expert, but I’ve worked with enough instructors to notice clear patterns in who students stay with, grow under, and quietly move on from.
If you’re looking for an honest, client-side perspective on how your teaching or service might come across, I’m happy to share what I’ve seen — directly, but with care.
💡Not seeing your exact situation listed?
These are some of the most common topics I cover — but every artist’s path is unique. If you have something else in mind, feel free to reach out. Whether it’s exploring a short-term study trip, questions about relocating, or anything in between, I’m happy to talk through whatever’s on your mind.
Some artists reach out to talk through how to balance survival work with their creative life, or to brainstorm side jobs that better fit their skills. I also support small productions and performing arts organisations, offering business insight or stepping in with a producer’s eye when needed. If that’s where you are right now, I’m happy to offer space to explore that too.
Choose the session that fits your needs:

Not sure what to ask? This lower-cost session is designed for those who need help figuring out where to start.
2. Referral Introduction
If you're looking for expert insight beyond my personal scope/experience — like vocal coaches, music directors, choreographers, or other creatives — I can connect you with someone trusted in my network.
These are seasoned professionals — performers, educators, and behind-the-scenes artists — who have lived the realities of the artist’s life and understand what it takes to keep going.
This includes stage performers, dancers, singers, actors, music directors, choreographers, and creatives — many of whom have also navigated the artist visa process themselves.
📌 How Referrals Work:
Each professional sets their own rates and availability. After the introduction, you’ll coordinate directly with them.
Every professional I refer is someone I personally know, trust, and admire — not just for their talent, but for their genuine desire to help others. I’ll do my best to match you with someone based on your needs, experience level, and personality. However, their availability depends on their own schedule — many are active performers, educators, or currently on tour.
There are two types of referrals:
-
Basic Referral – I share their contact info, and you reach out on your own.
-
Briefed Introduction – I ask you a few short questions, provide context on both ends, and personally introduce you via email to make the connection smoother.
➤ Some referrals are straightforward — like an acting coach or choreographer— and I may be able to help with just a few questions by email.
➤ But if what you're looking for is more personal or less defined, I may recommend a short intake session first, to make sure the person I introduce feels right for what you're looking for.
I want to be clear: while I connect you with people I believe in, I can’t guarantee what kind of relationship will come from it. These are warm introductions, not formal arrangements — and it’s up to both of you to take it from there.
That said, I’ll always aim to connect you with someone kind, thoughtful, and relevant to where you are right now. If I wouldn’t recommend them to my closest friend, I won’t recommend them to you.
Referral Options:
Basic Referral – $195
I’ll send you a trusted professional’s contact — whether it’s email, Instagram, or their website — depending on how they prefer to be reached.
Briefed Introduction – $350
I’ll introduce you to the professional directly, with a short overview of your goals so they understand your needs from the start.
Why I Charge
This is not about getting rich — it's about respecting time and experience. I believe artists deserve fair pay for their energy, knowledge, and lived experience. That’s why I charge for my time — and why I charge a small one-off fee when I refer you to another professional.
I do not take a cut of their earnings. Once you're connected, you pay them directly — at their rate. This helps support working artists in my network and makes knowledge-sharing more sustainable and accessible for everyone.
Everyone’s Path Is Different
I believe in talking to as many people as you can — because everyone’s story, background, and goals are different. What worked for one person might not work for another — and that’s okay.
The point isn’t to follow someone else’s path exactly, but to learn from their experience and find what resonates with you. One piece of advice might feel completely right — another might not fit at all.
Even the way I did things won’t be the perfect model for everyone. But I hope that by sharing what I know, and connecting you with others who’ve walked different paths, you’ll have the insight you need to carve your own.
No two journeys look the same — your path is yours to create.
